Red brick Marston's pub with a traditional two room layout, lounge to the left with red velour covered benches, public to the right with a brick fireplace, perimeter bench seating in a dark yellow scheme with traditional furniture apart from a small high table.Terrestrial sports screen above the bar ,darts board, dogs allowed but not in the lounge, bar snacks advertised and this is where the regulars hang out,it's lively yet friendly.
At the bar there was Revered James,Wainwright and Pedigree (NBSS 3.5,as well kept as this pale modern version of a past classic ale can be ) There are pic nic benches on the road side and an attractive raised beer garden to the side.
A proper village boozer,it serves the local folk well.

Good-looking Marston's pub, retaining a separate bar and lounge, separated by the central counter. The former has been refurbished in a relatively plain way, with a surprisingly limited amount of mixed furniture, but it also has a few interesting features such as the main fireplace. The latter is still much more traditional, and the is also a small games room to the rear. Razor Back, Wainwright, Sunbeam (£3.90) and Pedigree available from the bank of four handpumps on each counter.

A detached undressed brick cottage styled Marston's pub with mock Tudor windows, an extension and beer patio.

The interior had two rooms that i saw - the lounge i didnt see much of, other than i could see a TV and it seemed to be in part white decor. The pub does food and i assume they serve it there - we didnt eat, so cant comment on that. The bar, where we went, is in red and white, with a brick fireplace and chessboard floor. There is a dart board and a TV, which had the footy on. There are a few brass ornaments around and a few trophis. The service is friendly, as were the locals playing darts.

Beer; tap stuff with a decent enough Pedigree on handpull. The Hobgoblin was a little flat the other day, but there was also Banks's Bitter and Cocker Hoop - so a reasonalbe choice.

Visited a couple of times now and have always been happy with the pub. Beer was a little flat the once, but fine on the next visit. Happy to visit here.
