Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The George Inn
Isolated traditional inn on the Stone Street roman road, although there is a reasonable amount of passing traffic. Partly opened-out, but the front bar and side dining area (located up a couple of steps) both retain a great deal of character enhanced by a fine selection of ephemera. Also hosts jazz evenings. Just one of the three handpumps was operational, but that dispensed an excellent pint of Hopfuzz English (£4.00), and I enjoyed my chat with the engaging landlord.
