David Ross left this review about 100 Acre

The unusual name is explained by the fact that the site used to be part of a park called Hundredacre Park, which has long been built over. Now in the middle of a fairly well-to-do housing estate, this isn’t the easiest pub to find unless you know it’s there and the clientele seems to mainly consist of locals. It’s part of a large building containing a public bar, lounge, restaurant and a function suite called the Trevi. Conveniently, there are also a Chinese take-away, a bookmakers and a newsagents right outside in the same block. Even the bar is quite plush, with low level table lamp lighting, padded seating and elegant décor. There are five TV screens, with at least one visible from any part of the room, so it’s probably a popular place for watching football etc. There is a good draught selection, with Tennent’s lager (at £3 a pint), Belhaven Best, Tennent’s Special, Tennent’s Ember, Guinness and Magner’s cider all on tap. Impressively, it even sells its own brand beer called 100 Acre Lager, but as I didn’t notice the tap until I was on the way out, I didn’t sample it.
