Hmmm, what to say? More of a classy eatery than a pub
Has rave reviews for food guides, and entry into CAMRA 2009 guide, but on my visit only one bitter [Hobgoblin] at £3.15 a pint. Seems to have more wines available [all over £4 a glass BTW]
If you want food then I guess this will be fine, but is more like jacket & tie type meals than pie & chips, for instance soup of the day is a pretentious "soup of the moment" and is over £4
Christmas dinner is £27.50 per person, which may give a clue, but it is not the bog standard turkey etc
So, to sum up, not a place for a quick pint,if you want to eat out, then this may well be the place, but take your cheque book or a fat wallet
